They Have Come To Warn Us is a novel-in-progress, and an experiment in method. 

Summary of story forthcoming… when we have a better idea of what to say.

 

Method: 

An attempt to collaborate using the best of several internet tools mashed into one. Namely, online documentation and file storage, blogging for file ordering (WordPress), and short-form entry to spur creativity and frequent trade of control (ie., WordPress’s Prologue and P2 themes, which were inspired by Twitter). We also hope to take advantage of the popularity of serial content, such as RSS feeds and webcomics. 

 

The Writers: 

Two young women, recently graduated from college, who both carry a lifelong ambition to write fiction. Past attempts to collaborate have had varying levels of success. We hope that this project will be one of the better ones.

 

The Idea: 

Quite honestly, we were sitting in a local coffee shop, trying to write, when two perfectly harmless middle aged ladies walked by the window. 

“They’re Druids!” cried Ayers. “… Not really, but wouldn’t it be cool, if…?” 

And thus it began.
